BIM Engineer (Current Employee) –  Abu Dhabi, AZOctober 18, 2015
It has got a very good working culture. People here are friendly and swift to help each other in the course of a project.

Though at times the time period for project submissions are unrealistic.

There is always a lot to learn and explore with every new ambitious project.

Finance Supervisor (Former Employee) –  Dubai, DUSeptember 1, 2015
Where do I start, I worked on a large DOD project for AECOM. The management was the least qualified and least educated I have ever seen. The management are "good ole boys" where fraud and nepotism rule the day. The job paid low as compared to the rest of the industry and the management blew many opportunities.
Pros
I had a job
Cons
everything else

AECOM turns recently to a very bad managed company and a very stressed atmosphere
Director (Former Employee) –  Dubai,March 2, 2015
There is no work/life balance when you work for AECOM in the middle east and especially UAE because of the amount of stress you will get from the management of the company.

The company holds a false glorious external image in the UAE which is taken from their presence in USA and Europe. This image shows the company as the best technically in serving their clients and the best for their people in the way they treat them.

In reality, AECOM UAE has the worst management style which is based on making financial profit on the account of both clients and employees.

The only beneficiaries from their style of doing business is the corporate and the higher management in the company.

The senior managers of AECOM UAE do not bother about any internal rules or regulations and they do what they like when they like as they feel authorized to do so from their parent company.

The HR team is between puppets and inexperienced staff who do not provide any support to any of the staff unless they will take prior permission from one of the managers. They feel that their ultimate duties is to translate the senior managers wishes to actions without asking any question.

There is no quality control in anything, no respect to the overall country traditions (eating and drinking in Ramadan in public and many more) and no compliance at any level to their own internal processes.
Pros
medium range salaries
Cons
bad management, stressed atmosphere, no implementation for any rules or regulation
