This position is part of the on-site C-17 Field Services Engineering and Technical Support (FETS) team for the UAE Air Force & Air Defence customer in the UAE. Applicant will: participate in resolving complex operational problems that require a high level of ingenuity, innovation, and coordination with the UAE customer; provide UAE customer troubleshooting & repair guidance; provide assistance with the interpretation of technical documents to ensure the intent and purpose of the documentation is understood and followed; provide specialized on-the-job advice by explaining theory of operations and demonstrating basic operating, maintenance, servicing procedures, and troubleshooting techniques; investigate and pursue courses of action necessary to safely support UAE missions including assistance with spares supply and support equipment; and document field site activities by preparing and transmitting, publication change requests, continuous process improvement data, and reports to provide status of product/customer issues and developments. This requisition is for multiple posts across all aircraft maintenance disciplines. Therefore, a strong background in the maintenance and repair of avionics, aircraft systems or airframe structure as well as operation and maintenance of aircraft hydro-mechanical, propulsion, and mission systems, preferably C-17 systems, is required. The applicant must also be familiar with airframe structures, aircraft electrical, avionics, and communication systems, preferably C-17 systems. Prior experience in troubleshooting complex integrated systems, within an operational environment is essential. C-17 experience is preferred.
