The Middle East Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for developing, driving and maintaining revenue for the region of the Middle East. The candidate must be based near Dubai, and must be willing to travel extensively.
Exceeding the quarterly and yearly revenue targets will be the primary metric.
Enterprise Solutions Sales through channels.
The Silver Peak solution is a data networking solution for Enterprise customers. While we are a 100% channel company, the Regional Sales/Country Manager must have strong “Direct Touch” sales experience and the ability to drive end-user customer wins through the appropriate channels. The successful candidate will have the confidence and the skills necessary to convince Enterprise end-users that Silver Peak is the right solution.
Developing and leveraging the appropriate channels.
As mentioned, Silver Peak is a channel company 100%, therefore the Regional Sales/Country Manager must know how to leverage the existing relationships with strategic partners such as EMC, HDS (Hitachi), Dell, etc…as well as recruit and develop an appropriate VAD and VAR channel to cover the region. Having strong local channels will be critical for jump starting the initial revenue in the region – this last point about regional VAD and VAR channels can not be overstated.
Team Builder and Leadership
After the revenue grows, we will add more sales teams and this position can become the leader of the team. It is a definite advantage if the candidate has previous experience recruiting and building successful sales organizations.
Must have strong Data Networking sales experience and an added advantage would be to also have Data Storage/Server experience.
Extensive Direct Touch sales experience to Enterprise customers. Must have the experience and ability to convince Enterprise end-users that Silver Peak is right solution for them.
Previous experience recruiting and developing channels including Systems Integrators, VARs, and Value Added Distributors. Again, we are 100% channel focused.
Previous experience building and developing Sales and SE teams in the region is a plus.
Excellent English language (written and verbal) skills and experience working with U.S. HQ company.
Good presentation skills and ability to handle local press opportunities.
Very strong interpersonal skills.
Willingness and ability to travel extensively in the region and back to California is a requirement. Position will require 70% travel
University degree required. An MBA degree would be an added advantage.
Very high ethical standards are a must.
