The Landmark Group is a multi billion dollar retail and hospitality conglomerate in the Middle East and India. This position is to join the Web Team, an emerging division of the Landmark Group. We have an ambitious mandate to rethink the Web portfolio of our 25+ business units, and do so by delivering intuitive and engaging Web experience.

Principal responsibility You will drive the creative direction of the Landmark Group ’s online brands led by the Web Team Division. You will work shoulder-to-shoulder with the senior members of the team to brainstorm, lead, develop, critique and sign-off all planned and design related activities. As the senior designer you will have an impressive portfolio.
Furthermore, you ’ll have personally led, nurtured and delivered strategies that have transformed how businesses operate and how they engage with customers. Key Responsibilities: Design and deliver thought-leadership and creative solutions that strengthen Landmark°s market distinction and leadership position in the online space. Drive the collaborative efforts of the project ’s creative user experience and technology teams, and inspire teammates on all levels to exceed expectations. Conceive and create experience-oriented design solutions that fulfil Landmark ’s strategic business objectives.
Promote continual creative improvement and actively contribute to a culture of innovation, excellence and accountability. Take responsibility for articulating and defending conceptual and directional choices. Inspire and motivate creative teams, serve as senior creative lead and manage creative teams on and across major engagements. Mentor and lead junior creative staff, critiquing their work to maintain consistent creative quality and award-winning work.
Develop and direct creative work of the highest calibre. Direct all phases of creative work within Landmark and with agencies from concept through to production. Critique designs from the partner design agencies to ensure design usability quality Requirements: 6+ years experience in a user centred design role (at least 3+ years digital agency environment). A strong working knowledge of interaction design, user-centred experience design, brand development, digital marketing and the creative process.
Extensive background in Ecommerce and have played a pivotal role in an Ecommerce website for which you have personally led the design requirements to create a stunning transactional experience. An enthusiast who draws inspiration from the likes of Apple, Steve Krug, Jason Fried and other respected design/usability/thought leaders. Strong communicator who is comfortable interacting with Senior Management. Extensive experience in brand development.
Someone who has personally been involved in a number of brand identities and brand redesigns. Proven mentoring, supervisory, and team-building skills. Strong ability to prioritise work and resources across engagements based on short and long-term needs. A methodical person that has a design library of effective design patterns and styles, which you maintain, grow and share with the team.
Someone who is hands-on and is able to jump into tools like Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator to prototype or visually explain ideas when required. Comprehensive awareness and interest in new platforms and technologies for the digital channel (e.g. HTML5, CSS3, Responsive layouts, Query, Ajax, etc.) and related mediums. Someone who performs at their best within a fast-paced environment.
