RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. PROJECT WORK
1.1 Execute assigned work in accordance with the
applicable Project Procedures and Standards, including
Lukoil and/or Project Procedures on Safety and Quality
Control, within the man/hour and cost budgets and the
project schedule targets.
1.2 Liaise with the Project coordinating Engineer
regarding the interpretation of Client's Specifications
and Standards.
1.3 Prepare specifications in accordance with Lukoil
requirements for piping materials, coatings, painting,
and welding.
1.4 Review and comment on Lukoil specifications and
procedures as applicable to piping materials
specifications, identification and purchase.
1.5 Liaise with Project Engineers and Technology Group
to establish the full range of piping material
specifications required.
1.6 Prepare technical requisitions for inclusion in
sub-contract documents for piping shop fabrication.
1.7 Review and approve technically quotation evaluation
prepared by Materials Management Department. Technically
approve Order Variation Summaries.
1.8 Control Vendor documents for special and
non-standard items Control weld procedures that are
required to be submitted by Vendors.
1.9 Advise Chief Engineer (Piping) of:
a) Any major slippages and their causes and proposed
corrective action.
b) All policy matters, major technical problems and
unresolved differences with other Groups.
c) Requests for changes by the Client which may
constitute a contract change.
1.10 Co-ordinate and liaise with Design and Draughting
and other Groups including Estimating, Construction and
Sub-Contracts. Attend meetings as necessary with Vendors
and other Groups and advise on problems within the scope
of assigned responsibility.
2. NON-PROJECT RELATED WORK
2.1 Carry out other duties assigned by Chief Engineer
(Piping) and in particular:
a) Keep abreast of latest technology for piping
materials and investigate technical acceptability of new
products and methods.
b) Keep aware of Lukoil methods for material take off
and bulk material control as they affect specifications.
c) Suggest ways to improve efficiency and service and to
reduce costs.
d) Assist in the development and training of personnel
including graduate engineers when requested.
e) Participate in proposal activities as required.
Personal Specification:
Extensive onshore or offshore Oil and Gas experience
along with a BSC or Chartered status and membership with
TWI or European Welding Engineer. Extensive experience
